The FASTER consortium is led by DFKI, with Surrey providing the technical lead, and combines the expertise of 6 partners. Each have a range of expertise in space robotic exploration, with specific roles being: 

 

  • German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) for development of scout rover testbed

  • University of Surrey for development of soil sensing and integration & testing of soil sensors

  • Astrium Ltd for system validation and trials

  • Space Applications Services NV for concept identification & selection and mission planning & autonomy

  • LIQUIFER System Group for mission & system requirements

  • Astri Polska Sp. z o. o. for communications and dissemination of the results
